| Introduction | It all began on the family farm. August and Johanna Wax started the WAX ORCHARDS tradition in 1920 on Vashon Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle. They grew cherries, apples, apricots, peaches, currants and made juice from their island orchards. They canned whole fruit, high-fiber preserves the way the original settlers did using only ripe fruit without water or pectin. They coined the term "fruit-sweetened" to differentiate their products from others that used sugar, corn syrup or other sweeteners. Sweetening with only natural fruit juice concentrate remains as our foundation. WAX ORCHARDS FRUIT SWEET is our special blend of juice concentrates. The sugars on our nutrition labels are not added; they are the natural sugars present in fruit, along with their fiber. That's why you'll find our flavors unusually fresh and intense. While we've moved from that old barn on Vashon, we continue August and Johanna's tradition, creating delicious, healthy foods for folks like you who want "All of the Sweet - None of the Sugar".
