Introduction	I write books. That Girl Lucy Moon (Hyperion), The Dirty Cowboy (FSG), and I've got one tentatively titled "Pigeon-Shot" coming out from Knopf sometime in the future!
Interests	Love Chicago, farmers markets, and other peoples' dogs. I love going on walks and reading. Of course, I like writing. And always enjoy a chance to stare into a fire and drink hot cocoa. I also knit a lot of big woolly socks, and doodle on the piano.
Favorite Movies	Pride and Prejudice (6 part BBC only), The Lord of the Rings, About A Boy, Lawndogs, Anything Ingmar Bergman and most of Woody Allen's. Crimes and Misdemeanors is a masterpiece!
Favorite Music	Punch Brothers, Yo Yo Ma, Beethoven, Ennio Morricone, Keith Jarrett. Lots of stuff really -- I'm all over the map.
Favorite Books	Love lots of books! All I need is a good story. Some I liked recently: Welcome to Hard Times, Monsters of Templeton. Literary Hero? Toni Morrison.
