Adam Kempenaar

About Me

I graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in English in 1997 and have a B.A. in Communication/Film Studies and M.A. in Journalism from the University of Iowa. I also spent a year as an MFA student in Film & Video Production at Columbia College Chicago, where I made a few shorts films and videos. I was a film critic for The Daily Iowan for two years before moving to Chicago in the fall of 2002. While writing for the DI, I hosted a weekly film talk show, "Burn Hollywood Burn," on 89.7 KRUI. I am married with three kids - Holden, Sophie and Quinn.
