Introduction My early cooking forays included sugar and butter sandwiches and small undercooked cakes in an Easy Bake Oven™. I quickly graduated to making French toast and fried chicken, and at the age of 15 surprised my mom for her 40th birthday with an elaborate Chinese dinner cooked entirely from scratch. After putting my passion for cooking on the back burner for twenty years while working and raising a family, I began pursuing culinary education to supplement my years of learning by trial and error in my own kitchen.
