About Me

I am a graduate student in Penn State's Department of Educational Theory and Policy, a teacher, father, husband, progressive, atheist, and a metalhead. I agree with T.H. Huxley that "[t]he foundation of morality is to ... give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibilities of knowledge." In order for the human animal to live most effectively into the future, it must understand its biological and cultural development in its personal, social, cultural, biotic, earthly, and universal environment. This undertaking, though vast, must come about by the systematic exploration of everything available to us - from where our food comes from to the space shuttle, from cave painting to heavy metal, from ancient religion to modern science - and no assumption should remain unchecked no matter how popular or seemingly obvious. NOTE: This blog is in no way affiliated with Penn State University. It is a private blog.

Why are the most "educated" people on Earth also the most wasteful?
