| Introduction | We (hubby and wife) had been living in the City of Sails (Auckland) in the Land of the Long White Cloud (New Zealand) for 20+ years. After a couple of years of marriage, we decided to see what life would be like on the other side of the ditch. So in early 2010, we made the move over to Melbourne. While Auckland is still home in many ways, we have quickly settled into Melbourne life and are making the most of what this city has to offer. Now that we’ve been here for two years, we’ve made the decision to build our first home. The purpose of this blog is to document the build, track our progress, share our ideas, and help our family and friends follow us through our journey. We also hope that we can provide some inspiration to other first time builders/buyers. Enjoy!
