I'm from the suburbs of Chicago where I grew up a tortured Cubs fan, surrounded by Republicans who support the party regardless of how incompetent/dangerous the candidate is. Today I'm a tortured Cubs fan who is frustrated by a political system that breeds corruption and lies packaged in convenient sound bytes. I consider myself an Independent who supports honest candidates, if any still exist. I started Icky People in the summer of 2007 to have an outlet for my frustration with the political system. Occasionally I dabble in non-political subjects.
