I have always been a seeker. Whether I'm hiking the mountains of Patagonia to achieve some kind of spiritual nirvana, or driving around L.A. in search of the perfect margarita, I’m relentless in my quest. As a writer and dater, this inclination has driven me a little nuts. After a bad break-up a few years ago, I put my expertise to work for me. I was having a hard time meeting men in all the usual bar scene ways, so I decided to seek out other options. Thanks to an episode of Sex and the City and the magic of Google, I began hosting speed dating events. I figured the more men I could meet, the better my chances of meeting someone...well, decent. My experience taught me how to navigate a very fickle, elusive dating culture while still keeping my sanity and perspective. After hundreds of dates, I've also learned how to be more discerning when it comes to choosing the right guy. I'm a native of Houston, Texas, but now live in Los Angeles. I am currently working on a book about my dating experiences. |
