Introduction Though I have faced many medical challenges throughout my life, I am still here. After many years going through life wishing things were different, whining for more, and thinking who I was was all wrong, I am finally at a place where I feel content. I am me, the whole package. I can neither change something about myself for someone else, nor want someone else to live my life for me.

This is my life. I was created with purpose, exactly as I was meant to be made. Though I grow and change through experiences, those changes are for my benefit and no one else's. I am in control.

I laugh and cry. Speak thoughtfully and rashly. I make mistakes and I always will. But I will learn from each situation, taking something from it. I will love and I will be open. The flaws and blemishes, the effort and struggle. This is who I am. Human.
Interests I am an avid supporter of LGBT rights and Child Literacy. Love Is Love. Being intelligent and well-rounded starts with reading anything you can from an early age.

In my down time, I love to read YA, drink coffee and tea, meditate, and spend time with my family. I am a lover of Nature, and immerse myself in it when I can, how I can. There is beauty in quiet reflection of the world around us.
Favorite Movies Including, but not limited to: The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix Trilogy, Star Wars, The Holiday, Pride&Prejudice: BBC, Guardians of the Galaxy, Love Actually, Captain America.
Favorite Music Usually, whatever suits my mood. But some of my favorites include everything from Beethoven to Nickleback. When I am writing, I often have Evanescence, Within Temptation, or a movie soundtrack playing.

When I'm in the mood to groove a bit, I listen to Beyonce or Britney Spears. In meditation, my choice is always soft and easy. Enya, Loreena McKinnitt, Yanni, flutes, or violins.
Favorite Books There will always be a place in my heart for the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries, because that is largely what I read growing up. Right alongside them, however, has to be the Queen... J.K. Rowling. I adore her writing style, and "Harry Potter" saved me from a very desolate time in my teens. I now read all her other work as well.

My favorite Classic novel is a toss between "Pride&Prejudice" by Jane Austen, and "Much Ado About Nothing" by William Shakespeare. In a World Literature course in college, I read, "The Baghavad Gita" and was changed by the inclinations of Transcendence and Being beyond our standard human understandings. Powerful stuff about what it means to be alive.

YA is my genre of choice right now. David Levithan's, "Boy Meets Boy" resonated with me so much. Cassandra Clare's, "Shadowhunter's Chronicles" pull me in! And Holly Black's "Modern Faerie Tale" trilogy swept me away.
