Introduction I love food. I love cooking. In the early 80's I travelled to San Francisco so I could attend the California Culinary Academy. Lucky for me, this was when chef's were becoming famous. So my entry into the culinary world had a lot of open doors. I apprenticed in pastry with Chef Gerhardt Michler in the same kitchen as Chef Fred Halpert. From there I went to work as Pastry Chef at Square One, with chef Joyce Goldstein. The quickest way to loose a passion for something? Get fired and have Joyce Goldstein tell you you have no pallete.
