Introduction	We are a family of four living on the Canadian Prairies. As we work towards growing more of our own food, I am documenting our progress here (successes and failures) for us to look back on as a family. Our goal is a sustainable lifestyle. When possible we buy used or build our own, with the motto "use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!". I don't believe the western world can continue to consume at its current rate. Something has to give. I want to teach my kids that they can provide themselves with all that they need to be happy and productive as long as they are willing to learn and do the work. This is where that story begins...
