About Me

A graduate of the Florida State University (FSU), he won the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Award for Academic Excellence. Co-producer, director and writer of the indie film "Decapolis II" (1987), and was Assistant Executive Producer of "The Victims" (1989), the first theatrical movie to explore heterosexual AIDS. Recently completed his tenth screenplay, "Suspension of Belief," and a debut novel, "Salvation." Screenplays include the historical-fantasy-drama about the life of Shakespeare, "The Sonnets of the Crow"; the comedy-drama, "Harriet Barnes Goes to Mars"; the gangster thriller, "The Prince and Sister Wrath," and the comedy-horror-fantasy, "The Count of Calle Ocho." Fluent in English and Spanish, he has appeared as a guest on local and international television programs. Began his journalistic career in 1998 with The Miami Herald and then with its sister paper El Nuevo Herald. Winner of 11 National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP) prizes in journalism, he has interviewed many of the top actors and filmmakers from around the globe.
