About Me

I am Jing "Brad" Luo, a cum laude graduate of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (May 2009), in Dallas. In law school, besides taking the required courses, I tried to broaden my horizon by taking courses in many areas of the law, such as franchise law, intellectual property law, creditor’s rights, international trade, and international business transactions. In addition, I clerked full time for three years with 3 Dallas law firms, gaining experience in commercial and civil litigation. I am also very interested in various legal issues of doing business in Greater China. So, most of my posts and writing herein touch upon these topics. I was born and raised in southern Shaanxi Province, China. Like many of my peers, I deserted my youth in exchange for a seat in a college, but I am luckier than many in that I actually got into college in Wuhan where I majored in English. After graduation, I “rode” into Houston, Texas, where I taught English for four years while attending evening grad school. After that, I decided to attend law school, a dream I had abandoned years ago. I am currently seeking full time employment to utilize my legal skills.
