About Me
Got my 1st camera at 11, sold 1st photo essay in 7952. Writer/editor for 50+ years; over 2600 articles published (in Playboy, Popular Science, PC World, McCalls. MacWeek, Motor Trend & more), many illustrated with my photos. Began working with computer graphics in early 1980s as Art Dept supervisor at Hughes Aircraft. Have won awards for digital art & photos, sold 31 pieces in last 20 months (about 60% digital art, 40% photos). Currently am editor, webmaster & Board Member of Ventura Artists’ Union; member of Morro Bay Art Assoc., San Fernando Valley Art Club, Westlake Village Art Guild. Currently concentrate on fine art digital photography & digital abstracts, attempting to push the envelope of these 21st Century art forms. My wife Liz is an award-winning artist who works in oils & pastels. We travel extensively (Spain, Italy, Canada + U.S. Northwest, Midwest, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada & up & down California, especially Central Coast, Desert & San Diego area), visiting museums, galleries & shooting many, many photographs.
