Introduction Well, I'm a single mom, and by that I mean I parent my son with a whole bunch of other people who love him as much as I do. We are very lucky. I was raised in the fundamental evangelical Christian Church and spent a lot of time and money in therapy because of this. Christian theology is like Mexican food: some people can stomach it, but I’m not one of them. I do LOVE Mexican food, however. I enjoyed therapy so much that I became a therapist, myself. So, call me if you're really messed up. I choose to believe that we are all divine beings having a human experience. I believe that the experience we have as humans is the greatest gift we can ever receive, but that it doesn't always show up like that. Do you remember when you were in junior high and you would put a piece of dog crap in a bag, light it on fire, set it on someone's porch, ring their doorbell and then hide in the bushes as they would come outside and frantically stomp it out, only to get burnt dog shit on their shoes? Yeah, well life can feel like that sometimes.
Interests Karaoke. Yup, that's about it.
Favorite Movies Little Miss Sunshine, Jesus Camp, Chocolat, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (when I was a kid, the edible plants and flowers were my ultimate fantasy), What the Bleep do we Know, Tommy Boy (my friend Heather once told me I was the female version of Chris Farley, which is the perfect example of a backhanded compliment)
Favorite Books Anything Anne Lamott., Anything Barbara Kingsolver., Anything Joan Borysenko.
