About Me

I was born and raised in Walla Walla, WA and I am the original Walla Walla wine blogger and “locapour.” What is a locapour, you ask? A locapour is someone who drinks and talks about the wines from a local radius in order to support the local wineries, vineyards and economy. When it came to the vine and wine industry, I wanted to do it all: from digging holes and planting the vines. I worked crush and bottling line and was even a judge for one of the largest wine competitions. I enjoyed working in the tasting room environment, even though I graduated with a Certification in Viticulture. However, after eight years of cleaning spit buckets and pouring for the masses, I hung up my corkscrew to pursue my writing and open my online wine store, Walla Walla Wine Woman. Let me share the stories of the Walla Walla vines and wines with you.
