Introduction Andrea and Mark initially worked as surgeons for ten years with BMS in Guinea, West Africa. They subsequently worked for six years in the NHS during which Mark pursued further specialist training in emergency medicine and Andrea in obstetrics and gynecology. In April 2010they moved to Ndjamena the capital of Chad, where they have been working to bring good news to the poor by set up a new hospital and sharing the experience of life in Jesus. The 35 bedded hospital gets busier every year and has maternity, surgical, medical and paediatric services. The hospital treats over 1000 new patients, delivers about 120 babies, and performs about 60 operations a month They will leave the hospital in June 2016 but are still wanting to work in Chad and are looking for somewhere to serve outside of Ndjamena. They have 2 daughters Ruth (19) studying Theology at Exeter University and Rebecca (17) who is in her final year at a French High School in Ndjamena.
