| Introduction | I am married, age 27 (almost 28), and I have two children (ages 5 and 7). I have been a wife and mother for ten years and I am finally going back to school this year. I have two pet rats named Whiskers and Super-Rat. They are both clean, friendly, and well-behaved. My husband is in the military so we have lived pretty much everywhere. Originally, I'm from Southeast Texas. I love to watch the Food Network except for that Giada woman. She is WAY too skinny to actually be eating the things that she cooks. And I don't trust people who aren't willing to eat what they cook. I have a passion for gardening, but no green thumb. This often means that I spend upwards of $500 a year on plants, seeds, and other equipment and I end up with a yard (or house) full of brown, rotting root-balls. I collect books. Even ones that I hate. When my husband says, "You need to get rid of some books," I assume that he doesn't love me anymore and he is purposely trying to carve out a piece of my soul. |
| Interests | Writing, computers/technology, literature, running, all things pregnancy/birth related. |
| Favorite Movies | All of the quintessential female classics: Pretty Woman; Steel Magnolias; P.S., I love you; French Kiss; The Proposal; Something's Gotta Give |
| Favorite Music | Everything. Well, almost everything. I don't care for artists who believe that yelling curse words in a steady rhythm or screaming unknowable life-hating sentiments in a steady rhythm can be called music. |
| Favorite Books | All of them. Even the bad ones. I particularly enjoy reading good poetry, short stories, literary magazines, and the occasional guilty-pleasure airplane book (usually Sophie Kinsella comedy or some sort of mystery/thriller/crime novel). |
