Introduction Y. Arihadi was born in Semarang and spent his childhood until is high school age in the same place. He got his bachelor from Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University in 1987. He started his work in a small NGO based in Ngalihan to facilitate young transmigrant in Central Kalimantan. Micro-credit, and social forestry were sectors that he involved in practical development works. In 1993-1995, he was granted a scholarship from The Ford Foundation to get his Masteral Degree in Sociology from Ateneo de Manila University. From 2000 to date he remain active in microfinance sector with various approach: Self-Help Group, Rural Bank and he was also able to experiencing ASA and GRameen models from Bangladesh.
