About me

Introduction This is a non-commercial site I don’t sell anything or receive even 1¢ directly or indirectly from my research. Investing in oil and gas stocks is a great hobby and a likely financial winner. Never in history has there been a more exciting time and, yes more romantic era, in the oil patch. More than a dozen major oil and natural gas booms are happening in the U.S, due to two technological advances: horizontal drilling, and high-pressure multistage proppant stimulations (multistage frac jobs). These booms are in low porosity shale or dolomite formations. Some of the booms covered here include: Williston Basin Bakken and Three Forks / Sanish formations (North Dakota & Montana) Eagle Ford Shale (South Texas) Granite Wash (Texas and Oklahoma panhandles) Barnett Shale wet spots (wet mean high liquids relative to natural gas) Some of the oil firms that I cover are: Brigham Exploration, (BEXP) Whiting Petroleum, (WLL) Newfield Exploration, (NFX) Continental Resources, (CLR) EOG Resources, (EOG) Denbury Resources, (DNR) Kodiak Oil & Gas, (KOG) Northern Oil & Gas, (NOG) Petrohawk (HK)
