About me

Location Washington, United States
Introduction When I turned six years old my parents bought me horseback riding lessons as a birthday present; little did they know it would develop into a lifelong addiction! I currently own four fantastic geldings: Mikey, Pip, Sewickley, and Bricolage. My first pony, Mikey, is known for his sense of humor and is responsible for turning me into the dedicated rider I am today. Pip is my "wonder pony" because he does virtually anything and everything I ask of him: riding bridleless or blindfolded, jumping over four and a half feet, winning blue ribbons, learning tricks, performing passage... you name it! Sewickley is a lovely chestnut TB; this spring he's getting a career change. The newest addition to my gang is Brico, an off the track TB, whom I wish to take to the highest levels of three day eventing. Over the years I have given horseback riding lessons to children, worked in horse summer camps, volunteered with therapeutic riding programs, and trained a diverse group of horses. In 2007 I spent five excellent months working for Helen Bell Equestrian in Thirsk, England. I'm currently a graduate student at St. Martin's University.
