Introduction Montgomery Maxton was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1980 and raised on a rural six acre estate in southwestern Ohio. He is an award-winning journalist and his poetry and other genres have appeared in various print and online publications, including The Advocate, Washington Post, The Cincinnati Enquirer, A&U Magazine, Blood Orange Review, Six Sentences Magazine, OCHO Magazine, and USA Today, among many others. He is also a noted photographer with National Geographic Magazine in which one of his pieces was in the running for their coveted National Geographic International Photography Award. He has also appeared in Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine. He is the owner of the web design company Octovia Designs. A former resident of New York City, he lives in Philadelphia where he is working on his first novel. His first poetry collection, This Beautiful Bizarre, was released in January 2010 by Moon Ice Press. His second collection, Champagne Requiem, will be released in June 2014.
