Introduction | I'm finally fully retired from my career as a social worker, have a wonderful husband who's also retired, and three adult children who live in nearby MN, Madison WI, and Portland ME. My only grandchild lives in ME as well, so I mostly get to see her when she spends time with us in the summer. I began quilting nearly 20 years ago when I took a class from a wonderful teacher, Sandy, hence, "Thanx Sandy." I caught the bug and haven't looked back since. In the past couple of years I've resumed hand embroidery and love to make my stitcheries into quilts. In the summer, you'll find me in the veggie and flower gardens, and year round I can be found in the kitchen making something delicious or in the living room with a novel in my hand. |
