About Me
This blog has become a documentation of my journey in painting. Before beginning this blog, I painted at most a half dozen paintings a year. Other things in my life took priority even though my heart's desire was to immerse myself in the heights and depths of learning how to express myself through this medium. I have had an interest in art since I was a little kid, but it was not until 1990 that I bought paint and brushes and began to attempt to paint. I took a couple of "Continuing Education" courses in watercolor painting, and bought a few private lessons in the techniques of acrylic from an artist in that first year. In addition, I took a course in drawing from a local art college, but it has been through instruction books, discussion with other artists, visiting artists' websites and browsing art galleries that I have learned the most. My greatest challenge is finding the time to paint on a regular basis that I might continue this journey of exploration and experimentation.
