About Me

I started out as a journalist twenty years ago and moved on to risk analysis for a number of years before pursuing my passion for painting and sculpting. I learned to weld and started designing and manufacturing creative fixtures in mild steel. I have always been politically aware and joined the African National Congress in 1986. When my political idol, Cyril Ramaphosa, left the public political sphere, I stopped participating politically and concentrated my energies on the destitute and vulnerable. I also joined the police reserve force and served for seven years, but resigned when my youngest child was diagnosed with Asperger's Disorder. At 43 I have just submitted my first novel to a publisher and am in the process of obtaining an LLB degree with a view to become a public prosecutor. I would like to prosecute in the Supreme Court one day and maybe even become a judge. Who knows... I feel positive about the people of our country and while I am notorious for my criticism of current politicians, I believe strongly in the principles laid out in the Freedom Charter and I hope that we will get leaders who still remember that document soon. We'd better.

Why don't they get it?
