|Industry||Communications or Media|
|Occupation||Emergency Medical Dispatcher|
|Location||Norwich, Connecticut, United States|
|Introduction||I've been a 911 dispatcher for far longer than I can remember at this point and even though people think "Oh wow! That must be a cool job!" it really isn't. It's a stressful, frustrating, drive-you-nuts job which means one definitely needs a hobby if one wishes to maintain sanity. My hobby is blogging and taking pictures for my blog and traveling to as many interesting historic places as time and money will allow ... which means I stay home a lot! When I do go places, though, I like to share them through posts and pictures along with bits and pieces of other parts of my life. I should mention that I also occasionally will accept an advertising ad/link in exchange for income compensation but these are only for quality products and in no way affect the other content of my blog.|
|Interests||American History - particularly the Civil War, old cemeteries, trivia, on TV - Doctor Who, The Closer, and Grey's Anatomy, blogging (my own and other people's), random cynicism|
|Favorite Movies||Bridget Jones' Diary, For Love of the Game, What Dreams May Come, The Princess Bride, Sleepless in Seattle, We Were Soldiers, Tombstone, The Patriot, Gettysburg, 1776|
|Favorite Music||Nickelback, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Steely Dan, Josh Groban, 10cc, Sting, Broadway soundtracks, 80's music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra|
|Favorite Books||The Five People You Meet in Heaven, the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich, Message in a Bottle (or most anything by Nicholas Sparks), pretty much anything by Nicholas Evans, A Tale of Two Cities, vintage Stephen King|
