| Introduction | In 2003 my father bought me a Mr. Beer kit as a present when I received my MBA. Years before that, I had given him one as a gift for Christmas. What do you give a 60 year old dad that does not ever seem to want anything? He thought that that I need something to occupy my time since I would no longer be studying. One thing led to the next. I quickly embraced the hobby and dove head first an learned everything I could about brewing beer. I was an extract brewer at fist making 5 gallon batches and bottling then in used bottles that I recruited my friend to save for me. A few years later I dove in to All Grain brewing and then the hobby spiraled out of control. Oh the gadgets one could use and build. I am never really satisfied with my current setup it is always evolving. I currently live I Eldersburg Md married to a woman who allows the madness to continue. Together we are raising two beautiful girls. I belong to one of the many homebrew clubs in Maryland, Chesapeake Real Ales Brewers Society (CRABS) |
