About Me
A perpetual globetrotter and travel writer who has authored and contributed to over 30 travel guidebooks for Lonely Planet, DK, Thumbnail, Thomas Cook and AA Guides, and published articles in National Geographic Traveler, Get Lost, Lifestyle+Travel, The Independent, USA Today, Paperplane, and an array of hotel and in-flight magazines, and travel websites. I travel and write with partner Terry and this is our 28th month on the road. This blog grew partly out of a PhD project and partly out of a frustration with some forms of travel writing, but I mostly began this blog to write about the things I find cool about travel. I want to reflect upon the things that inspire us to travel, and what's inspiring about travel. I'd love to hear what you think.
