About Me
Trained as a musician, I started radio in my senior year in high school as a part-time job and eventually it became my second career after teaching music at the high school and college levels for ten years. Radio in Ripon, Wisconsin, Washington, DC in classical and talk formats and in Boston and Cincinnati as a talk show host have ended with “Prime Time Radio” and “The Book Guys.” I believe in the power of the intellect and still have hope that rational good sense will triumph over ideology, both here at home and overseas, though I despair of living to see it happen. If I was independently wealthy I would spend more time traveling overseas. My wife being Australian, I always enjoy our trips there, but we have also fallen in love with Prague after two trips and want to explore Ireland and Scotland next. As I have discovered that no “expert” has all the answers, I have also discovered that no country has a corner on the right way to go either. Both are important realizations to me in my work of trying to bring information to as many people as I can.
