When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

One I don't open my eyes underwater unless I am wearing goggles, otherwise I would lose a contact lens. Two I have spent about half my life submerged in water so it takes a bit more than just opening my eyes to cause me to worry about drowning.
