About Me
Mike Marcus is a 34 year old artist and photographer, born in London and now living between the UK and Tel Aviv, Israel. For 12 years he worked as a commercial artist for clients such as Coca Cola, L’Oreal and Orange. More recently has been involved in political art on the streets of Tel Aviv resulting in both TimeOut Magazine and Economist.com labelling him as Israel’s answer to Banksy. In addition he has been credited as a digital artist on four Hollywood feature films including “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, 2007” and “Around the world in 80 Days, 2004”. Mike’s recent solo exhibition “Exogney #1”, was critically acclaimed by the Israeli national press and television networks. Mike has also launched a number of high profile street exhibitions and contributed to two Tel Aviv group shows: “Pirates of the Tel Aviv swamp” and “New Clear Bomb”.
