Introduction I was born in England in 1948. I was a baby boomer. I can remember rationing, that was when other children couldn't buy sweets. For me rationing lasted until I left school. My family lived in the country. This was where I became interested in all things natural. I loved to fish. The older I got the more I disliked school. I left school, left home then came to Australia in the following 7 years. I was just a boy really. I lived in country South Australia for the next 40 years. Whyalla is town of 23,000, it's 250 miles away from the nearest city. I'm about to move to Melbourne, which has a population of 4,000,000. I will miss the great fishing around Whyalla and the hunting and target shooting. I have seen sights that most people only see on nature documentaries. The afraid but also excited about moving to the city. I won't miss the dust, the flies and the summer heat. 125 degrees in the shade is no fun but lord I will miss clear starry nights, the diamonds on the sea and the dew on spiders webs sparkling like chandeliers in the early morning sun.
Interests Eating, fishing, reading, writing, observing the natural world, conversations with friends and family. Humour.
Favorite Movies The Deer Hunters, The Life of Brian, Man of Flowers.
Favorite Music There isn't enough space here to complete this. It's easier to say I don't like jazz and country and western. I like everything else.
Favorite Books Anything historical.

You've broken up with your old band and are about to release your first solo album. Please write the liner notes:

I hope you like this album. I left the old band because of musical differences. Like they couldn't hold a note and they still didn't know how to plug a guitar in properly. I don't hold grudges but I now some gits who'll be really sorry in a few years time.
