About Me

A writer, commentator, theologian and educator, I am co-director of Ekklesia, the think-tank and news service concerned with religion and public life from a radical, post-Christendom perspective. I also work as a trainer, facilitator and consultant with church and community initiatives, as well as continuing to publish for a wide variety of audiences - from general to academic. Football and music are my balancing passions. From 1996-2005 I worked for Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI), the official ecumenical body.

Which is easier to make a model airplane out of and why: a banana peel or a wet sock?

No idea. But a banana peel would be preferable, because if it crashes there'd still be scraps of food on the inside for the survivors... rather than just a stale smell.
