The Brazilian artist Sandra Nunes paints her native city Rio de Janeiro.Strolling through its urban, suburban and bucolic sites, she interprets the relationship between shapes and colors, recording the routine of its people. Her work has been receiving recognition in important juried exhibition and has been published in prominent papers, magazines and bookcovers in Brazil and abroad The artist is participating of the World Tour of Contemporary Landscape Painters, the exhibition started in Karpeles Museum, Newburg-New york, and is now traveling throughout North America during this year and 2008, with events currently scheduled for Colorado, Florida, Vancouver- Canada and more to come.
