| Introduction | I was born in a small town, adjacent to coal mining in the Anthracite region of Pennsylvania – you there, you know who you are! I was fortunate to grow up, (maturation process is debatable) in an area that had ample activities available in the outdoors literally within walking distance. Which was somewhat ironic, being that 6-7 miles away the land was raped from years of coal extraction. Nonetheless, I suppose I was extremely lucky growing up where I did. I grew up being able fishing tiny Brookie cricks, day hiking all over creation, swimming in the nearest creek, and mountain biking long before it became in vogue, every day summer day of my youth. You won’t find too many mountain bikes with a single speed, chopper handlebars and a banana seat in your nearest Trek store. A love of being outside and being active has followed me so far, through this point in my life. I feel blessed I was raised in this manner. Aside from that, “The details of my life are quite inconsequential.” “When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap sack and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really.” Now, I'm looking forward to living the rest of my life. |
