I am an Associate Professor of History at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, which is about 20 miles west of Grand Rapids. My scholarly interest are outlined above. In addition to a few articles, I have published The Rebuke of History: The Southern Agrarians and American Conservative Thought (University of North Carolina Press, 2001).
