| Introduction | Like hundreds of other native English speakers from all over the world, I am spending the year in South Korea through the EPIK program. Teaching elementary students about the intricacies of the English language is not exactly my passion, but the opportunity to live and work outside the US was too exciting to pass up! Over the next year, I'll be seeing as much of this beautiful country as possible, and recounting my experiences. I plan to take in all the festivals my schedule can handle, eat as much food as my stomach can hold, study Hanguel until my eyes go crossed, relax in jimjilbangs until my fingers go permanently pruney, take pictures until my camera throws in the towel, and shop until I have to invest in a new bureau! Along the way I'll be diving into Korean culture, making some wonderful new friends and figuring out what exactly one does with their life after a random teaching stint in a foreign land!
