| Introduction | i'm just a boring little old lady with four cats. never try to teach a cat to sing. it wastes your time and it irritates the cat. Cat overpopulation is not a problem we must solve for we know how to solve it. The problem we need to solve is how to make the people comply. Curiosity may have killed the cat but the pound has killed a lot more than curiosity has. terms that i do not like in certain context: "Shelter" - A facility that euthanizes animals for lack of a home - to call it a shelter is like calling a Nazi concentration camp a vacation resort. "Stray" - When used to describe a cat (or dog) that appears to be homeless. how does one determine that the animal strayed if they do not know the situation? It very well may have been abandoned or dumped. The animal is blamed for its homelessness automatically. Guilty until proven innocent is unfair!! "Unwanted pet" - Who is to say that animal is unwanted? I've seen plenty in need of a home on the internet that I have wanted but realistically I can not keep. Just because someone can not adopt the animal it does not mean that it is unwanted. |
