| Introduction | The title of this blog comes from Lana Del Rey's unreleased song, Noir. But the sentiment embodies what I find myself thinking about: glamour, unruly femininity, display, pleasure, performance, all with a feminist swagger. And moi? I am an artist, working in photography, video, performance and writing. I completed my MFA at CalArts in 2009 and BA (Hons) Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University in 2001, where I also recently completed my PhD How do I look? My work explores the labour, glamour and agency of showgirls and my own pleasures in looking at showgirls.
