I'm a graduate student in Nonfiction Writing at Emerson where I also teach freshmen and try (vainly) not to loiter around the department, talking shop and gossiping about writing and publishing news. Thank god for Vernacular! Also, I write nonfictionally about just about anything-- book reviews, rants about sports fans, gun journalism, and the family history/multicultural memoir I'm currently working on (pro bono).
