About me

Gender Female
Occupation Health Education & Promotion
Location Nova Scotia, Canada
Introduction I am a self taught artist initially from PEI, now pursuing a BFA at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. I also have a career in Health Promotion as a counselor of some very special people living with intellectual challenges. They are incredible folks and I love both of my career pursuits, no matter how different they seem! My art has a strong technical basis and an almost illustrative quality. Genres tend towards classical work (still life, portraits, wildlife & scenery) while photography tends towards animals (dogs and horses particularly) or wildlife & scenery. I am attentive to perspective, detail, expression, light and texture in my photographs and paintings. My goal is capturing "the perfect moment" in my art, no matter what media it employs.
