About Me
Martin was born and reared in Czechoslovakia (now known as Czech Republic). He defected communism and came to the United States in 1989. He proudly became a United States citizen in 1999. Growing up in communism has helped shaped Martin's political and social views. Depending on the issues, Martin has been labeled as a conservative, traditionalist, libertarian and a liberal(even that there is not a liberal bone in his body). He strongly believes in the Constitution of the United States and believes it should be adhered to and amended only under extreme situations. Martin supports small government and State rights. He believes the bigger the government becomes the more power it obtains and citizens lose personal freedom and power. Martin is a hunter and believes the "The right to bear arms" is the most effective provision to protect citizens from their own government. Martin also strongly believes in personal freedom, personal responsibility, and protecting the rights of those who can not stand up for themselves such as small children, unborn children, and the under privileged.
