Introduction For 20 years, Ed Steele served with his family as missionaries in Central America, concluding with six years as a Music Editor with the Baptist Spanish Publishing House [now Mundo Hispano] located in El Paso, Texas. From 2003 to 2022, he served as a Professor of Music for the Leavell College of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, teaching courses in Worship, Music History, Hymnology, and Voice from 2003 - 2022. He established an Online Center for Hymnological Research, which provides digital copies of rare hymnals through the Seminary’s library. He is the author of Worship HeartCries: Personal Preparation for Worship, various anthems, and hymns. Married to Dr. Kathy Steele, they have two grown children and three grandchildren.
