Caroline A. Shearer

About Me

At this time in her life, Caroline A. Shearer finally is completing her oft-started books. She is the former Editor in Chief of a statewide magazine and has written for publications across the U.S. Caroline is well respected for her conscientious approach to the written word and twice has been recognized as a finalist in the prestigious Austin Under 40 Awards. She is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, from where she earned a B.A. in Journalism, with a minor in Psychology. She also began an Interdisciplinary Studies Masters’ Program in Children’s Literature & Psychology at Texas State University. Thousands of Caroline’s pieces have appeared in such publications as Texas Family, Best in Texas, Birmingham Magazine, Connecticut Parent, Baltimore’s Child, Cleveland Family, Mahoning Valley Parent, About Families, Florida Family Living, Kansas City Parent, Western New York Family, Sonoma Family Life, Cecil Child, River City Renaissance, Oak Hill Gazette, and Downtown Planet. Her blog, under the nom de plume “Candidly Caroline,” is, of course, more casual than her professional writing.
