| Introduction | Jan 2010. Follow us as we roll into a new decade resolved to finish the work on our first house and learn how to cook! It happened sort of by accident on our 2009 Christmas vacation...fed up with our ugly kitchen, I began to pull off the cheap and poorly installed trim that was everywhere. Simultaneously, we bought our daughter Julie & Julia for Christmas and we all felt inspired to cook...err, we were also sick of eating out for the gazillionth time. We figured, "Hey, with a nice kitchen we will want to cook!" And there you have it. Hopefully you will be entertained along the way and learn a few tips and tricks from our trials by fire (in the oven and onto the porch) and many an uneven wall and four letter words alike... May our ambition continually outweigh our frustration so that we can finally become Swanky in Suburbia. =) |
