Introduction	I'm a lawyer by profession, but my real loves are medieval history and historic costume, and have been since adolescence. I've come from machine sewing polyester t-tunics to handsewing period-documentable designs in pure wool and linen. Maybe I'll get into historical reenactment when I finally retire from law.
Interests	Pre-modern historic costume (from prehistory through the end of the Middle Ages). My other interests aren't relevant to this blog.
Favorite Movies	Most of the costume dramas that have impressed me with their accuracy do not involve early-period costume, so I don't have anything I want to list.
Favorite Music	Dire Straits, Tool, Blue Man Group, Meat Loaf, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Bach, Beethoven.
Favorite Books	Cloth and Clothing in Medieval Europe, Cloth and Clothing in Anglo-Saxon England, Dress in Anglo-Saxon England, Viking Clothing, and all volumes of the Northern European Symposium on Archaeological Textiles (NESAT).
