| Introduction | Myrdin Thompson has been a Louisville public school parent, volunteer & advocate since 2002. She is a Grassroots Poverty Expansion Associate for RESULTS as well as contributing editor at MOMentumNation. As a Champion/Mentor she advocates on behalf of the United Nations Foundation Shot@Life program (which addresses global vaccination issues). She also is a contributor to Parent Involvement Matters (about education policy/family engagement) and to Armchair Advocates. She was recognized in April 2011 by the White House as a "Champion of Change" and was the 2010 Kentucky Delegate for Parenting magazine's Mom Congress. She has a MA in Renaissance Drama from CSUF and has taught college English Composition courses. |
