| Introduction | I graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in the 1985, and have been here ever since. Although I have worked in several areas, they have always been cardiac. I started on the tele floor, then moved to CVICU. After several years experience in CV, I went back to school obtained my MSN and became the Clinical Nurse Specialist. Then, I had a 4 year period of temporary insanity while I was the nurse manager of the CV unit. It was not my thing, but I can scratch management off my bucket list. I resumed my role as the CNS. I recently completed both my ACNP and my DNP at University of Tennessee. On a personal note, I am married to Andrew Baker. Without him, a second trip to graduate school would have been impossible. He works for Information Systems at Methodist, so you may see him around. We have, currently, 4 cats and no human children. |
