Introduction I've always made jewelry of some sort, whether beaded or fabric, paper, or metal.This seems to be engrained in me! I am an instructor at the local college in the ABE/GED Department. I love the job, but my passion has and always will be artwork. My passions are sculpting, painting, bead work, pounding on metal, my kids and my animals.. My family consists of two kids, a Wolfhound and micro Heeler, I love to travel.. I live in the desert and long for the sea.
Interests Beadwork, metalwork, quilting, sewing, painting, Music, Camping, Old Cemeteries, Old Churches, Old Buildings, Clover, Greyhounds, Wolfhounds, Mysteries, Science Fiction, History, Vintage campers, old tools, anything jewelry, anything rustic, anything colorful... and thistles.
Favorite Movies Lord of the Rings (all of them), Grapes of Wrath, Saturday Night Fever, The Petrified Forest, The Birds, Ride Lonesome, Out of Africa, Lawless, Dead Calm, North by Northwest, Bride and Prejudice, Mrs. Miniver, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Die Hard, all of them, Dracula-any and all of them, Big Country, Our Vines Have Tender Grapes. Just about any James Bond Flick, and the Jesse Stone movies. Gotta love Tom Selleck! Tons of kids movies, like Shrek, Toy Story, Monsters Inc. They are all so cute!
Favorite Music Flogging Molly, Clandestine, Los Lonely Boys, Christina Aguilar, Clannad, the Who, Journey, Doobie Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins, Foreigner, Jethro Tull, Green Day, Prince, Toto, Rush, all the Big Bands from the 1940s, Nat King Cole, Al Hurt, Louis Armstrong, Herb Alpert, Bing Crosby :)
Favorite Books Any of the Star Wars novels, novellas, or comic books. From Dawn of the Jedi through Crucible, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, I love mysteries, I like Tom Clancy novels, as well as Clive Cussler...and I even like biographies of 13th and 14th Century French and British personalities. One of my favorite books is A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century or the book -We Two:Victoria and Albert- Rulers, Partners, Rivals ...go figure, it's like my taste in music, very eclectic!
