About Me

This blog originally started as a simple training diary on cyclosport.org, which very quickly got promoted to the front page on that site and started to attract considerable interest. This fuelled my ego to the extent that I found myself getting out for rides on cold days in the winter just so I would have something to write about! Then family and friends got interested, and being so far flung across the world, I realised that a blog was a fantastic way of keeping in touch with people. When the Cyclosport site was taken down in June of 2008 (although now resurrected), I moved the blog over to here and have continued blogging away, partly due to popular request, but mainly because I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would miss jotting down a few words at the end of each day. I want to keep the focus on the training, but I will have more license to ramble now. Please feel free to comment if I start to over-indulge myself in that respect!
